Fresh red fruit leads, with aromas of cherry, raspberry, and red currant, followed by subtle floral and light earthy notes. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and clean, with bright acidity supporting the fruit. Tannins are fine and unobtrusive, providing gentle structure without grip. The fruit profile remains focused and restrained rather than ripe or extracted, and oak influence is minimal, only noticeable in the texture it adds to the wine.

Domaine Michel Juillot is a family estate now run by Laurent Juillot, farming roughly 30 hectares across Mercurey, Rully, and several Premier Cru sites. The domaine works with sustainable viticulture and hand harvesting, focusing on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay planted on limestone and clay soils typical of the area. Fermentations use native yeasts, and élevage is carried out in a measured proportion of oak to maintain structure without excessive influence.
