We’re committed to getting your wine to you safely and in excellent condition.
Please review the following information before placing your order:
UPS/FedEx Shipping Information
Adult Signature Required
All wine shipments are sent via UPS/FedEx and require an adult signature (21+ years) upon delivery—no exceptions. This requirement is enforced under Federal Law (Title 27 CFR § 31.201 and 27 CFR § 4.62). We cannot waive, modify, or make exceptions to this law.
Shipping Restrictions & Limitations
If you're shipping address is outside of the immediate West Coast region (Washington, Oregon, California, or Idaho), there may be additional shipping restrictions or requirements. Some states have specific limitations on direct-to-consumer wine deliveries. We will contact you if any issues arise.
States We Cannot Ship To
Due to state laws regarding the shipment and import/export of alcohol from wine retailers, or other legal limitations, we do not ship to the following states:
Arizona, Delaware, Mississippi, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah
We are unable to ship Internationally outside of the United States and we are unable to ship to P.O. boxes
Shipping Carrier Responsibility
Once tracking information has been sent, Champion Wine Cellars no longer has control over your package, including delivery timelines, rerouting, or holding. All deliveries are subject to the policies of the carrier used, which may be either UPS or FedEx.
If you need to reroute, reschedule delivery, or hold your shipment at a carrier pickup location, we strongly recommend downloading the appropriate carrier app:

Weather Holds & Shipping Upgrades, & Other Options
Because wine is sensitive to temperature extremes, ground shipping may not always be suitable—especially during high heat or freezing conditions (Summer & Winter months).
When we identify risk to your wine during transit, we may offer the following options:
- Upgrade the shipping method (e.g., to 2-Day Air or Overnight) for faster, safer delivery. We may be able to offer a discounted upgrade in most cases.
- Sign a weather release form that allows us to ship via the originally selected method but fully releases Champion Wine Cellars from any liability for temperature-related damage or loss.
- Hold your wines in our temperature-controlled shop, free of charge, while we monitor the weather and provide periodic updates until it’s safe to ship.
- If none of these options are satisfactory, we’re happy to issue a full refund.
Please note:
These options are offered when deemed appropriate. Not all options will be available in every case. We assess each order individually based on the wines ordered, destination, and forecasted weather.
Local Delivery – Seattle Area
We offer local delivery within Seattle city limits—personally handled by our small, independent team. We do not use third-party services or couriers, so you’ll be receiving your wine directly from us.
Delivery Details:

We deliver daily between approximately 5:00 PM and 8:30 PM, except Sundays.

Orders of $90 or more qualify for free local delivery.

Orders under $90 can be delivered for a $20 delivery fee.

Someone 21+ years of age needs to be present to accept delivery of the order. Again we'd like to stress that this is Federal Law and deliveries will not be left unattended, dropped in a location, or with anyone that does not have a valid form of identification.
- If you're outside Seattle city limits—in areas like Bellevue, Kirkland, or Renton etc.—please contact us directly! We may be able to arrange a delivery. Delivery fees for these areas vary, starting at $30.
We will reach out via text message to coordinate your delivery. Please note that delivery windows are approximate, and while we do our best, we cannot guarantee exact delivery times, unless arranged/co-ordinated before day of delivery.
If you need your delivery by a specific date or time, please contact us before placing your order so we can confirm availability and ensure a smooth experience.

If you need your wines by a specific date, especially during summer or winter months, we highly recommend contacting us before placing your order. Weather and shipping options may impact fulfillment.
