Taste Block

Tasting Notes

The nose opens with citrus zest, dried pineapple, white pepper, and chamomile. On the palate, it’s both bright and textured — just-ripened pineapple, grapefruit, and lemon jam meet warming spice notes like cardamom and gingerbread. There's a clear varietal fingerprint: savory, spicy, and slightly salty, with vibrant acidity and a grip that gives the wine presence without heaviness. The finish delivers a balanced mix of sweet, sour, bitter, and salty notes, lingering with precision and freshness.

Pairing Block

Food Pairing

Grüner Veltliner from Austria offers bright acidity, clean structure, and a lightly textured, savory-leaning profile that suits dishes with freshness, herbs, and moderate richness. Its crisp, lifted character works naturally with seafood, vegetable-driven plates, and lightly spiced preparations like schnitzel with lemon or asparagus with olive oil. The wine’s balance of precision and subtle depth allows it to handle citrus-driven, herbal, or gently peppered dishes while maintaining focus and versatility.

About the Producer

Weingut Loimer is a family estate based in Langenlois in the Kamptal region of Austria, with roots in the 19th century. The winery entered its modern phase when Fred Loimer took over in the 1990s, following formal training in viticulture and experience abroad. Under his leadership, the estate became part of a new wave of Austrian producers redefining the country’s international reputation after the challenges of the 1980s.
