Bastide des Oliviers is produced within the Coteaux Varois en Provence AOC, an inland enclave of Provence located in the Var department, where elevation and topography play a defining role in wine style. Vineyards are situated among wooded hills around Brignoles, largely on limestone-based soils that provide structure and drainage. Compared to more coastal parts of Provence, the region is more sheltered from direct maritime influence due to the Sainte-Baume range, resulting in cooler nighttime temperatures and slower ripening. This diurnal variation helps preserve acidity and contributes to the balance and freshness that distinguish wines from this appellation.
