About the Producer

Founded in the 13th century by the Knights Templar and located in the Var department of Provence, Commanderie de Peyrassol is a historic estate encompassing roughly 850 hectares, with about 95 hectares planted to vineyards. The property lies on limestone and clay soils at moderate elevation, planted primarily to Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Rolle. Vineyard management follows sustainable and organic practices suited to the dry Mediterranean climate.
