Tasting Notes

In the glass, it shows a pale straw color with green reflections. The nose presents citrus, green apple, and white peach, along with subtle floral notes and a light saline edge. On the palate, it is crisp and medium-light in body, with flavors of lemon, pear, and stone fruit supported by bright acidity. The texture is clean with a slight lees-driven roundness. The finish is dry and refreshing, with lingering citrus and a faint mineral note.

Pairing Block

Food Pairing

Albariño’s vibrant citrus profile, saline edge, and brisk acidity make it especially suited to fresh, coastal-inspired dishes. Its combination of citrus peel, stone fruit, and subtle floral notes complements herbs, bright aromatics, and preparations that highlight the purity of seafood. The wine’s lively, mouthwatering finish pairs best with shellfish, grilled fish, light tapas, and vegetable-driven plates where salt, freshness, and subtle spice enhance its coastal clarity and precision.

About the Producer

Bodegas Viña Nora is based in Salvatierra de Miño in the Condado do Tea subzone of Rías Baixas, along the banks of the Miño River near the Portuguese border. The winery was established in the late 1990s and is now part of the Jorge Ordóñez Selections portfolio, which focuses on site-driven Spanish wines. Viña Nora works primarily with Albariño from inland parcels that differ from the more maritime Val do Salnés zone, producing wines with slightly more ripeness while maintaining acidity. The focus remains on clean, precise expressions of Albariño shaped by vineyard location rather than heavy cellar influence.
