Tasting Notes

60% Gros Manseng, 40% Petit Manseng

Aromas of grapefruit and white peach are lifted by citrus blossom and a hint of fresh herbs. The palate is bright and lively, balancing crisp citrus fruit with vibrant acidity and a subtle mineral edge. The finish is clean and refreshing, leaving a dry, lightly aromatic impression.

Pairing Block

Food Pairing

Jurançon Sec offers bright acidity, gentle texture, and a lively, aromatic profile that suits dishes with freshness, herbs, and moderate richness. Its balanced structure works naturally with seafood, salads, and vegetable-forward plates like grilled trout with lemon and herbs or roasted asparagus with olive oil. The wine’s lift and clarity allow it to handle lightly creamy or mildly spiced preparations while keeping the overall pairing vibrant and focused.

About the Producer

Founded in 1979 through the union of several regional cooperatives, Plaimont represents hundreds of growers farming vineyards across the appellations of Saint-Mont, Madiran, Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh, and surrounding areas of Gascony in southwest France. The cooperative manages thousands of hectares planted to traditional regional varieties including Tannat, Petit Courbu, Gros Manseng, and Arrufiac, many grown on clay, limestone, and gravel soils influenced by both Atlantic and Pyrenean climates. Plaimont is recognized for preserving historic local grape varieties and maintaining extensive old-vine plantings while representing one of the largest collective vineyard holdings in the region.
