Aromas of ripe strawberry and raspberry are layered with watermelon, citrus peel, and a hint of white pepper. The palate is fuller and structured, balancing vibrant red fruit with bright acidity and a subtle savory edge. The finish is dry and persistent, leaving lingering berry and light spice notes.

Food Pairing

Rosé from Tavel offers notable depth, firm structure, and a dry, savory profile that suits dishes with moderate richness, herbs, and lightly roasted or spiced elements. Its weight and balance work naturally with grilled poultry, hearty salads, vegetable dishes, and Mediterranean plates, and the wine’s more serious texture allows it to stand up to fuller flavors like charred vegetables, robust seafood, or couscous with herbs and olive oil. This combination of structure and freshness makes Tavel an unusually versatile rosé that moves easily from casual fare to more substantial dishes.

About the Producer

Located in the Tavel appellation on the right bank of the southern Rhône, Château de Trinquevedel is a historic family estate now led by Guillaume Demoulin, farming roughly 32 hectares of vineyards on sandy and galet-strewn soils. The property focuses primarily on traditional Tavel rosé made from Grenache, Cinsault, Clairette, and Syrah, alongside limited red bottlings. Vineyard management follows sustainable practices suited to the dry Mediterranean climate, with an emphasis on maintaining balance and structure in the warm region. The estate is known for producing classically styled, dry Tavel rosé with depth and aging capacity reflective of the appellation’s historic profile.
