Tasting Notes

50% Voskehat, 50% Garandmak

In the glass, it shows a pale gold color with light straw reflections. The nose presents stone fruit, citrus peel, and orchard fruit, alongside subtle floral notes and a light herbal edge. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with balanced acidity, showing layers of pear, apricot, and citrus, supported by a slight mineral backbone. The texture is gently rounded, without heaviness, resulting in a clean, dry finish with lingering fruit and a faint savory note.

Food Pairing

This style of white works best with dishes that balance freshness, moderate richness, and subtle herbal or savory elements. It pairs well with roast chicken, grilled fish, or pork with herbs, where the wine’s acidity and texture complement the protein. It also works nicely with vegetable-driven dishes like roasted squash, mushrooms, or lentils.

About the Producer

Zorah Wines was founded in 2000 by Zorik Gharibian, an Armenian-born entrepreneur who spent much of his career abroad before returning to Armenia with the goal of rebuilding a modern wine estate rooted in the country’s historical traditions. Rather than restoring an existing property, Gharibian started from the ground up, focusing on high-altitude vineyards and indigenous grape varieties. His work represents one of the early modern efforts to position Armenia as a serious fine wine producer on the international stage.
