Taste Block

Tasting Notes

Opens with restrained aromas of orange peel, orchard fruits and melon, joined by subtle notes of white flowers and fresh herbs with a hint of honey and marzipan. On the palate, the wine is dry and refreshing, with a lightly textured mouthfeel and a clear mineral edge. Citrus and orchard fruit flavors remain understated, balanced by firm acidity and a faint savory note that adds depth. The finish is relatively direct rather than extended, marked by gentle bitterness and clean structure.

Pairing Block

Food Pairing

Malvasia-dominant white blends from Tuscany offer gentle aromatics, balanced freshness, and a smooth, lightly textured profile that make them especially suited to savory dishes with moderate richness and simple Mediterranean accents - think with grilled fish, antipasti, vegetable-forward plates. Their clarity and easy lift complement seafood, salads, and lighter pastas, while their soft, rounded character works well with mild cheeses and herb-driven preparations.

About the Producer

Podere Sanguineto is a small, family-run estate located in the Valdichiana area near Montepulciano, in southeastern Tuscany. The estate has been farmed by the Dei family for generations, with current stewardship focused on low-intervention viticulture and an emphasis on expressing local conditions rather than chasing international styles. Farming is organic, with careful attention to soil health, biodiversity, and restrained yields. In the cellar, fermentations rely on native yeasts, sulfur use is conservative, and oak is used sparingly, if at all, depending on the cuvée.
