Tasting Notes

The refined flower is reminiscent of yellow apple, peach, and yellow plum. Subtle orange peel with lemon, carambola, almond blossom, and yellow rose. We also detect gentle notes of vanilla, anise, and rosemary. The palate is soft, while at the same time it offers a great amount of freshness and minerality, showing citrus fruits, flowers and Mediterranean herbs

Pairing Block

Food Pairing

Ribolla Gialla’s firm acidity, clean profile, and subtly textured palate make it especially suited to dishes that emphasize freshness, gentle richness, or simple savory elements. Its steady structure and quiet depth complement seafood, vegetable-driven plates, and lightly creamy preparations, while its clarity keeps delicate flavors focused. The wine pairs best with grilled fish, salads, soft cheeses, and dishes where brightness balances complex layered flavors.

About the Producer

Founded in 1820 and located in Goriška Brda on the border of Slovenia and Italy, Movia is a historic, family-run estate now led by Aleš Kristančič, who farms roughly 22 hectares of vineyards on marl and limestone soils. The estate is fully organic and biodynamic, with all vineyard work carried out manually and harvesting done in multiple passes to ensure uniform ripeness. Production focuses on Rebula, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Merlot, and other regional varieties, with native-yeast fermentations and minimal intervention in the cellar.
