Taste: In the glass, this is bright ruby with youthful translucence. The nose shows lifted aromatics of fresh basil and violets, layered over red fruits of wild strawberry, cherry, and a touch of raspberry. The palate is juicy and energetic, carrying pure, unadorned Pinot fruit that feels both supple and refreshing. Fine-grained tannins provide gentle structure, while the balance of ripe fruit and crisp acidity drives the wine through to a lively finish. Hints of spice and mineral notes trail behind the red berry core, leaving a wine that is vibrant, precise, and built to show beautifully in its youth while still gaining complexity with short-term cellaring.

Pairing: This Marsannay is great to pair with dishes that balance freshness and savory depth. Focus on medium-weight proteins, dishes seasoned with aromatic herbs, and foods that highlight acidity or gentle char. Avoid overly rich sauces or heavy reductions, which could overwhelm its purity.

About. Domaine Bart is based in Marsannay-la-Côte, a village at the northern gateway of the Côte de Nuits. The domaine was formed in the 1980s after the dissolution of the historic Clair-Daü estate, whose renowned vineyard holdings were divided among heirs. The Bart family inherited part of that division, carrying forward both prized parcels and a winemaking ethos of site expression. Today, the estate covers twenty-three hectares and is managed by Pierre Bart alongside his mother, Odile, and his uncle, Martin. The family’s connection to Marsannay is strong: Martin’s grandfather, from the Clair side of Clair-Daü, put the appellation on the map in 1919 when he produced the first Marsannay Rosé, which became popular in Dijon’s bistros and cafés.
