Tasting Notes

Aromas of fresh cherry and raspberry are complemented by subtle floral notes and a touch of soft earth. The palate is light to medium-bodied and smooth, with bright red fruit, balanced acidity, and fine, gentle tannins. The finish is clean and refined, leaving a fresh red-fruited impression.

Pairing Block

Food Pairing

Pinot Noir from Burgundy offers bright acidity, fine tannins, and a quietly savory profile that make it especially suited to dishes with moderate richness and gentle aromatic lift. Its balanced structure complements roasted poultry, earthy vegetables, and lightly seasoned meats, while its freshness keeps more delicate preparations, like salmon, focused. The wine pairs best with roast chicken, mushroom-based plates, grilled pork, and classic bistro-style dishes

About the Producer

Founded in the 1960s and based in Davayé in the Mâconnais, Domaine Damien Martin is a family estate now run by Damien Martin, farming roughly 16 hectares across Saint-Véran, Mâcon-Davayé, Pouilly-Fuissé, and several nearby villages. The domaine works with sustainable viticulture on limestone- and clay-based slopes well suited to Chardonnay, along with smaller plantings of Pinot Noir and Gamay. Vineyard work emphasizes hand care and parcel selection to highlight the varied exposures around Davayé and the Solutré-Vergisson hill. The estate is known for producing clean, regionally accurate Mâconnais wines that reflect the freshness and mineral profile of southern Burgundy.
