Champ Divin is a small, biodynamic estate founded in 2008 by Fabrice and Valérie Closset-Gaziaux in the village of Gevingey, on the Jura’s first limestone plateau. Both founders trained in agronomy and earth sciences and spent years working internationally in sustainable agriculture before settling in the Jura. Their vineyards, totaling roughly five hectares, are farmed biodynamically and planted primarily to Chardonnay, Savagnin, Pinot Noir, and small amounts of Jura’s traditional red varieties. In the cellar, fermentations are spontaneous, oak use is restrained and typically neutral, and sulfur additions are minimal. The wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered, with an emphasis on transparency and site expression rather than overt winemaking signature.
