From: Tremont, Anjou, Loire Valley, France
Varietal: Chenin Blanc
Taste: The wine is pale lemon-green in the glass. The delicate aromas of white flowers, acacia, and elderflowers emerge on the nose, providing a fragrant and inviting bouquet. As the wine opens up, the nose is complemented by bright grapefruit intertwined with a subtle hint of cinnamon, adding a layer of aromatic complexity.
The wine offers a supple palate with luscious flavors of ripe peaches and exotic lychees, creating a rich and fruity profile. This initial burst of fruit is balanced by a lasting finish showcasing citrus's tangy freshness.
Pairing: Serve it as an aperitif when gathering with friends, accompanied by light appetizers such as bruschetta topped with fresh tomatoes and basil or a platter of mixed olives and marinated vegetables. Its bright acidity and floral notes make it a refreshing choice that pairs with fish and seafood dishes like seared scallops with a citrus beurre blanc sauce, grilled shrimp, lemon-garlic salmon, or delicate fish ceviche. The wine’s floral and fruity profile also complements soft cheeses like goat cheese, Brie, or Camembert, and its subtle cinnamon hint and fruit flavors make it an excellent match for Asian cuisine, such as Thai green curry with prawns, sushi, or a Vietnamese mango salad.

About: In the heart of the Valley of Kings, among majestic castles and lush forests, the vineyards of Anjou bask in the region's renowned mild climate and rich terroir. This landscape, with its clay, schist, sand, and chalk soils nurtured by the rolling Loire River, provides an ideal environment for cultivating Chenin and Cabernet Franc vines. These vines, grown with character and finesse, produce a vibrant array of wines suited for every occasion.
The Regnard family's winemaking began in 1791, shortly after the French Revolution, when they acquired their first vines. Today, their vineyard spans over 83 hectares around the village of Trémont in Maine-et-Loire. This legacy has been revitalized by Gwenaëlle Regnard, who has infused her husband François Regnard's heritage with her experience and determination, ensuring the vineyard's continued growth and success.
