Founded in 1673 and based in Niedermorschwihr in Alsace, Domaine Albert Boxler is a multigenerational family estate now led by Jean Boxler, who farms about 14 hectares of steep, terraced vineyards, including significant holdings in the Grand Cru Sommerberg and Brand sites. The domaine focuses on Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, and Muscat, grown on granitic soils that produce high natural acidity and firm structure. Vineyard work follows organic principles with all harvesting done by hand due to the terrain. Fermentations occur with native yeasts in old foudres, and the wines are aged on fine lees to maintain precision and site expression. The estate is known for producing focused, long-lived wines that reflect the mineral character of its granitic slopes.
