Adega Pedralonga is located in the parish of Castrelo, just outside Cambados in the Salnés Valley—an area long shaped by decomposed granite soils, steady Atlantic winds, and cool, humid growing seasons. The estate has been farmed by the Francisco family for generations, with its current identity shaped by Miguel Alfonso Francisco and his son Xurxo, who expanded and refined the vineyards beginning in the 1980s. The farming is organic in practice, relying on handwork, moderate yields, and traditional pergola-trained vines suited to the maritime climate. Winemaking follows a restrained, low-intervention approach with spontaneous fermentations and careful lees aging, emphasizing Albariño’s natural saline tension, citrus-driven profile, and textural detail.
