From/Terroir: North-east of village, lower part of southeast-facing slope, soil of limestone decomposition. Frionnes, Saint Aubin, Burgundy, France.
Taste: In the glass, the wine shows a pale gold color with a green shimmer at the rim. Aromas are expressive yet focused, with white peach, Meyer lemon, and pear layered against notes of acacia blossom, crushed stone, and a faint nutty edge from élevage. The palate carries medium weight, unfolding with flavors of citrus oil, orchard fruit, and a saline, chalky drive through the mid-palate. Acidity is lively but integrated, keeping the wine taut while allowing a supple texture to emerge. The finish is long and precise, leaving impressions of citrus zest, hazelnut, and wet limestone.

Critical Acclaim: Frionnes covers several sub lieux-dits, though Olivier declassifies the part in Es Champs. He notes that there is Kimmeridgian clay-limestone here, more similar to Sancerre than Chablis soil in the detail. The vines were planted in 1935, 1960, 1985 and 2011. Very pale in colour, with some almond paste on the nose. A fresh orchard fruit otherwise on the nose, the volume expanding significantly on the palate. Very fine. Drink from 2027-2035.
