Peachy Canyon Winery is a family-owned estate in Paso Robles, founded in 1988 by Doug and Nancy Beckett and now run by the second generation. The winery is closely associated with Zinfandel and Petite Sirah, drawing primarily from estate and long-term partner vineyards on the west side of Paso Robles, where warm days, cool nights, and calcareous soils favor structured, dark-fruited wines. Peachy Canyon helped define Paso Robles’ modern reputation for bold but balanced Rhône and heritage varieties, while maintaining a focus on sustainable farming and careful site selection. In the cellar, the approach emphasizes ripe fruit, controlled extraction, and measured use of oak to support structure without overwhelming varietal character. The wines are widely recognized for combining Paso Robles power with clarity and consistency rather than excess.
