Taste: In the glass, the wine appears pale gold with a fine, persistent mousse. Aromas unfold with fresh-cut pear, golden apple, and faint wild strawberry, backed by hints of shortbread and crushed limestone. On the palate, it is dry and bright, with red-fruited flavors leaning toward raspberry skin and Gala apple, complemented by citrus zest and subtle toasty notes from the lees aging. The texture is firm and linear, driven by Pinot Noir’s structure and underpinned by a mineral edge. The finish is clean and precise, leaving lingering impressions of red apple skin, chalk, and a faint savory note.

Pairing: This Blanc de Noirs' acidity and fine mousse make it a natural with foods that have a crisp texture, subtle richness, or salty edge. Start with general guidelines: acidity cuts through fat, bubbles love salt, and Pinot Noir’s red-fruited core complements both lighter meats and umami-rich vegetables. Serve with duck rillettes, roast chicken with thyme and lemon, or a warm mushroom and leek tart.

About. Montgermont is a Crémant de Bourgogne producer based in the village of Savigny-lès-Beaune, located just north of Beaune in the Côte d’Or region of Burgundy. This village, though better known for its still red and white wines, is increasingly home to quality sparkling wine production under the Crémant de Bourgogne AOC. Proprietor Samuel Montgermont created the label with a focus on crafting precise, traditional-method sparkling wines that express the freshness and structure of Burgundy’s cooler vineyard sites. The winery’s production remains relatively small, with a portfolio focused primarily on Brut Blanc de Blancs, Brut Rosé, and a vintage-dated cuvée in select years.
