Tasting Notes

Aromas open with pear, baked apple, and white peach, layered with spice, vanilla, and a touch of brioche from its oak fermentation. On the palate, the wine is creamy and full-bodied, with red-fruited precision.

Pairing Block

Food Pairing

This Brut combination of richness, delicate texture, and lively acidity makes it a great food-friendly Champagne. As you think about pairing, keep these things in mind: pair it with dishes that offer salt, fat, or umami, allowing the bubbles to cleanse the palate while the oaky depth matches richer textures.

About the Producer

Coopérative Vinicole Le Val-d’Or is based in the village of Avenay-Val-d’Or, a Premier Cru commune in the Vallée de la Marne, just north of Épernay. Founded in 1948, the cooperative brings together more than one hundred small family growers from Avenay and neighboring crus such as Mutigny and Germaine. Collectively, these vignerons farm roughly sixty hectares of vines, primarily Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, planted on chalk and clay-limestone slopes that bridge the mineral focus of the Côte des Blancs and the structure of the Montagne de Reims.
