Tasting Notes

In the glass, “Antarès” shows a pale golden hue with a fine, persistent bead. Aromas open with citrus zest, green apple, and pear, layered with notes of almond and a faint chalky edge. On the palate, it is supple and lively, showing mirabelle plum and orchard fruit custard.  The mousse is finely textured with a clean, mineral finish with subtle nutty complexity and a refreshing, slightly saline edge.

About the Producer

Champagne Lamiable is located in Tours-sur-Marne, one of the Grand Cru communes in the Montagne de Reims. The Lamiable family first settled in the village as farmers in the late 1700s. Champagne Lamiable was created through the marriage of two local families, Lamiable and Lapie. The Lapie family had vineyard holdings in Billy-le-Grand, a Premier Cru village on the eastern slopes of the Montagne de Reims. When the families joined, those vineyards became part of the domaine. The current Champagne estate was started in 1859 by Louis-Hippolyte Lamiable.
