Pairing: This Soave Classico’s bright acidity and mineral structure make it an intense match for dishes that emphasize freshness, herbs, or gentle richness.
About. Vini Graziano Prà, more commonly known as Vini Prà or just Prà, is based in the town of Monteforte d’Alpone in the province of Verona, in the Veneto region of northeastern Italy. Situated in the hills of the Soave Classico zone, east of Verona and west of the Lessinia range, this area has long been considered one of Italy’s top terroirs for white wine production, particularly for the Garganega grape. The volcanic soils and hillside exposures of Monteforte d’Alpone provide the foundation for wines of clarity and structure. Since the 1980s, Graziano Prà, founder, winemaker, and one of the region’s most influential figures, has played a central role in elevating the profile of Soave. His work has helped redefine the reputation of the appellation.
The Prà family has been in the hills of Monteforte d’Alpone for generations, where Graziano Prà’s grandfather and father cultivated grapes, selling them to larger producers. Graziano was the first to shift the focus from farming to estate bottling. After training as an oenologist, he officially launched the winery in 1983 with the release of Soave “Otto,” marking a clear break from the bulk wine production that had dominated the region.
