Description

From: Moixent, Valencia, Spain
Varietal: Gewurtztraminner, Muscat

Taste: This vintage shows a pale straw hue with subtle green reflections. The nose is expressive and layered, with aromas of tropical and citrus fruits including passion fruit, mango, papaya, mandarin, and lime. On the palate, it is fresh yet persistent, offering a lively acidity that supports its generous fruit profile. The balance between zesty brightness and subtle structure creates a medium-bodied texture with good length, while two months of lees contact lend a soft roundness and aromatic depth that carries through to the clean, citrus-driven finish.

Pairing: This wine pairs well with dishes that highlight freshness, delicate aromatics, or soft textures. Try it with Vietnamese shrimp and herb spring rolls or grilled halibut topped with citrus and shaved fennel. It also complements Middle Eastern dishes, such as couscous with preserved lemon and mint, or herbed falafel with cucumber-yogurt sauce.

About: Pago Casa Gran is situated in Moixent, a historic village in the interior of Valencia’s Clariano subzone, within the Valencia Designation of Origin (DO). The estate is located alongside the Canyoles River and spans a diverse landscape that has supported viticulture for over three centuries. With documented cultivation dating back centuries, the estate blends legacy and modernity under a philosophy of organic integrity, sustainable innovation, and terroir transparency.

Manuela Galbis is the head of the modern version of the winery as it is known today.. Following the passing of her father, she assumed ownership and leadership of the estate at just 18 years old, a rare position for a young woman in Spain’s male-dominated agricultural sector in the 1960s.
