Description
From: Sonoma, California
Varietal: Chardonnay
Taste: This Sonoma County Chardonnay is sunshine in a glass. Classically styled, it opens with aromas of juicy tropical fruit, think pineapple and guava, layered over subtle tones of citrus peel. On the palate, flavors of Honeycrisp apple lead, with a background of vanilla spice and gentle oak warmth.
Pairing: With its tropical fruit tones, Honeycrisp apple character, and subtle vanilla spice, this Chardonnay pairs well with dishes that balance richness and brightness. Begin with seafood or poultry preparations that offer a hint of creaminess or spice.
About: Ide Wines operates out of Sonoma, California, and is one of the region’s rising small-scale, family-run producers with a sharply focused approach to natural and transparent winemaking. The project was founded in 2020 by Jeremy Ide and his wife Michelle, both of whom transitioned from tech and design backgrounds into the wine world with a drive to produce wines of purity and place. What began as a side project while living in San Francisco quickly evolved into a full-fledged operation centered around low-intervention techniques and a willingness to work with offbeat, often underappreciated vineyard sites.
