2022 Umani Ronchi Marches Fonte Del Re Lacrima di Morro d'Alba

In the glass, the 2022 Fonte del Re is a vibrant, deep ruby-purple. The nose shows rose petal, violet, black raspberry, and dark cherry, accented by subtle spice and a faint herbal edge. The palate is medium-bodied with soft tannins, bright red and black fruit, and a lightly savory note that adds definition. Acidity is fresh but not sharp without sacrificing its aromatic richness. The finish is clean, floral, and persistent.

Umani Ronchi is based in Osimo, in Italy’s Marche region, and was founded more than sixty years ago in Cupramontana, in the heart of Verdicchio Classico country. In the late 1950s, Gino Umani Ronchi established a small farm devoted to viticulture. A few years later, the estate was purchased by Roberto Bianchi, a contractor from nearby Ancona with a strong passion for agriculture, and his son-in-law, the young political science graduate Massimo Bernetti.
