Taste Block

Tasting Notes

The nose is concentrated and polished, with ripe black fruit of cassis, blackberry, and blueberry, layered over subtle balsamic spice, pepper, clove, and clean hints of leather and tobacco from its time in French oak. The palate is powerful but composed, carrying dense fruit supported by broad, ripe tannins. The texture is full and even, with a long finish that brings together dark fruit, spice, and a lightly savory note.

Pairing Block

Food Pairing

Ribera del Duero Tempranillo pairs best when you match its firm tannins and concentrated fruit with dishes that have enough protein and savory depth, especially grilled or roasted meats and slow-cooked preparations. Herbs, smoke, and gentle spice—think rosemary, thyme, paprika, garlic, or mild chiles—act as natural bridges to the wine’s red and dark-fruit character. Avoid heavy sweetness and very sharp, high-acid sauces, and instead choose dishes with balanced acidity and a savory core so the wine’s structure and fruit stay in line.

About the Producer

Emilio Moro is a family-run winery that continues to produce wine in a traditional manner, utilising knowledge passed down through generations since its establishment over 70 years ago.

Currently, they own 375 hectares of vineyards, all grafted with the purest clone of Tinto Fino. The oldest date back to 1924, located in the Valderramiro estate, in the very heart of theRibera del Duero. All vineyards are cultivated sustainably with the utmost respect for the terroir and its landscape, employing technology to enhance quality, both in the vineyard and the winery across all processes. In this way,Emilio Morohas succeeded in establishing a distinct and precise identity in crafting the traditional yet modern red wines of the Ribera del Duero.
