Taste: In the glass, the wine presents a deep golden straw hue with green reflections. Aromatically, it opens with fresh almond, chamomile, and yellow apple, layered with subtle almond and hints of dried hay. On the palate, the texture is firm and slightly waxy, offering ripe orchard fruit, bitter almond, and crushed herbs with a light saline edge. A gentle phenolic grip adds depth to the mid-palate, supported by balanced acidity and a persistent, dry finish marked by notes of pear skin and stony minerality.

Pairing: Friulano’s hallmark bitterness and medium body make it a versatile food wine. Its almond and herb notes pair well with green vegetables, while the wine’s subtle grip and dry finish handle richer textures. Start with lightly fried artichokes, asparagus risotto, or snap peas tossed with mint and lemon. 

About: Jacùss is located in Montina in Torreano, a small commune in the province of Udine, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Founded in 1990 by brothers Sandro and Andrea Iacuzzi, the estate emerged from a family tradition of mixed agriculture that gradually transitioned into specialized viticulture. Today, it operates as a focused, family-run winery with an annual production of approximately 50,000 bottles, distributed across eleven different labels. Marta Iacuzzi, representing the second generation, has recently joined the team, bringing renewed energy to the next generation's operations at the estate.
