From: Tremont, Anjou, Loire Valley, France
Varietal: Cabernet Franc
Taste: This wine is a deep ruby. On the nose, it offers a bouquet of black fruits and spices. The wine reveals a generous and structured profile, delivering a fruity and well-rounded mouthfeel. The palate is dominated by flavors of ripe blackberries and a medley of dried fruits. The tannins are soft and silky, providing a well-balanced and smooth texture.
Pairing: Its structured and fruity profile makes it an excellent match for red meats such as grilled steak or roast lamb, where the wine's tannins complement the meat's savory flavors. Soft cheeses, like Camembert, also pair wonderfully, as the wine's silky tannins and fruity notes enhance the creamy, rich texture of the cheese.
For a more casual option, this wine pairs delightfully with a classic pizza, where its robust flavors can stand up to the tomato sauce and various toppings. Pasta with rich, meaty sauces such as Bolognese or ragu benefit from the wine's depth and fruitiness. Additionally, this wine's depth and complexity elevate most stews, especially those with hearty ingredients like beef or lamb. A medley of roasted root vegetables, such as carrots, beets, and parsnips, brings out the wine's fruity and spicy nuances, creating a well-rounded and flavorful pairing.

About: In the heart of the Valley of Kings, among majestic castles and lush forests, the vineyards of Anjou bask in the region's renowned mild climate and rich terroir. This landscape, with its clay, schist, sand, and chalk soils nurtured by the rolling Loire River, provides an ideal environment for cultivating Chenin and Cabernet Franc vines. These vines, grown with character and finesse, produce a vibrant array of wines suited for every occasion.
The Regnard family's winemaking began in 1791, shortly after the French Revolution, when they acquired their first vines. Today, their vineyard spans over 83 hectares around the village of Trémont in Maine-et-Loire. This legacy has been revitalized by Gwenaëlle Regnard, who has infused her husband François Regnard's heritage with her experience and determination, ensuring the vineyard's continued growth and success.
