The wine you receive under the label Château Mariotte is, in fact, a private label of Château de Fontenille in the Seattle Market.
About: Château de Fontenille is based in the commune of Fontenilles, a few miles south of Créon in the Entre-Deux-Mers region of Bordeaux. The estate dates back to the 13th century, when it was established as part of a Benedictine abbey. Vineyards were extensively replanted in the late 20th century, and in 1989, the property was acquired by winemaker Stéphane Defraine.
