Taste: From the Producer: “Deep intense color: purple, carmine and shiny. The nose opens with aromas of small black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberries) and is extended with fine floral notes: peony, violet. Notes of spices and grilled. On the palate, the wine is delicate with a beautiful amplitude. The finish is balanced and silky.”

Pairing: For American holiday fare, the wine shines alongside a prime rib roast with herb crust, where its black fruit and spice notes complement the rich, savory flavors of the beef, while its balanced finish cuts through the richness. Similarly, it pairs beautifully with smoked turkey glazed with cranberry, as the wine’s delicacy and fruit-forward profile enhance the smokiness and tart-sweet glaze. About: Château La Caussade is a historic family-owned winery in Sainte-Croix-du-Mont, Bordeaux. The Armand family has managed the estate for generations, with three generations currently involved. The family’s viticulture history dates back to the early 20th century, beginning as agricultural laborers before acquiring vineyards in Sainte-Croix-du-Mont. They formally established Château La Caussade in the 1930s. 

The family strongly believes in quality without compromise, as expressed in its motto: “Sans concession ni partage, la qualité avant tout !” or "Without concession or sharing, quality above all!"
