Description

From: McMinnville, Willamette Valley, Oregon
Varietal: Pinot Gris

Taste: Pale straw in the glass with silvery reflections, the wine opens with lifted aromas of green pear, white peach, and honeysuckle, framed by a hint of crushed rock. On the palate, it’s sleek and focused, with flavors of crisp apple, citrus pith, and a touch of almond skin. The texture is lightly waxy, supported by bright acidity and a clean, mineral-driven finish. A subtle salinity lingers on the close, reinforcing its Dundee Hills provenance and its time on lees.

Pairing:
This Pinot Gris offers both freshness and subtle texture. Its citrus and orchard fruit tones pair naturally with seafood, particularly dishes featuring light broths or herbal accents. Try it with grilled prawns and fennel, or seared scallops with a citrus beurre blanc.

About: Westrey Wine Company operates from McMinnville, Oregon, in the Willamette Valley. Founded in 1993 by Amy Wesselman and David Autrey, Westrey is a partnership in shared experience and a long-term vision for Oregon Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Both founders bring academic and practical training in enology to the winery: Amy studied fermentation science at UC Davis and worked harvests at Bethel Heights, while David honed his skills at Rex Hill. Their paths converged at Cameron Winery under the mentorship of John Paul, where their philosophy around restrained winemaking and vineyard expression began to take shape.
