Tasting Notes
47% Mourvedre | 35% Syrah | 17% Grenache | 1% Cinsault
Long inspired by Southern Rhone Valley wines, this is our answer to a Washington version of a Côtes du Rhône Villages wine. This blend of classic southern French varieties are unique and expressive, yet each contributes to creating a harmonious whole. This remarkable wine displays an enticing, brilliant ruby color. It delivers flavors of black raspberry, wild currant, and savory notes, followed by aromas of late summer berries, baking spices, and hints of licorice. The juicy mid-palate, bright acidity, and rich tannins provide a decadent, versatile wine compatible with many foods and occasions. - Winery
Critical Acclaim:
Long one of the Northwest's great values in small-lot, well-crafted wines, a Mourvédre heavy GSM with 1% Cinsault. Flinty mineral components alight from the glass with aromatics of black and red bramble berries and a savoury dried scrub. There is a depth of dark blue and black fruits on the palate, while the intensity of fruit and minerality balance is on par with a natural freshness of fruit and savoury character.— 93 PointsDecanter, March 12, 2024
