Considered one of Burgundy’s most highly regarded winemakers, Pierre Morey’s small domaine of nearly 10 hectares (25 acres) produces stunning, long-lived wines. He served as winemaker/cellarmaster at Domaine Leflaive for nearly 20 years before stepping down in 2008 to concentrate on his family's domaine and his négociant firm, Morey-Blanc, both of which he runs with his daughter, Anne. Morey-Blanc complements his estate production with an enviable selection of premier and grand cru vineyards.
Tasting Notes: Distinguished by its excellent situation, just under Montrachet, its soil is beautiful, not too deep, and rich ; the subsoil has a good drainage. This is a wine of contrasts : powerful, rich, with a good length, it becomes more refined very slowly.
