From: Columbia Valley, Washington
Varietal: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Tasting Notes: This Cabernet is robust, yet elegant, with a powerful structure. The 2017 vintage is sourced from pristine vineyards in Washington State’s Wahluke Slope. On the nose, the wine offers aromas of sunbaked earth and lots of ripe berry fruit. The texture is smooth and round, with lasting flavors of rhubarb, black plum, and a touch of cedar from 20% new French oak. The finish goes on and on with outstanding acidity to balance the tannin structure.
Pairing: Try this with mom's Prime Rib roast - it's serious enough to hold up to a fine cut of meat. If you're in the mood for something simpler, go for a Neapolitan pizza.
