From: Aube, Côtes des Bar, Champagne, France
Varietals: 45% Pinot Noir, 22.5% Chardonnay, and 22.5% Pinot Blanc made in the champagne method, blended with a final 10% of still Pinot Noir
Same base as the Grains de Celles, with the addition of Coteaux Champenois Rouge (Pinot Noir).
Tasting Notes: One of the finest producers in the Aube, this rose has rich, ripe red fruit with refreshing citrus acidity and a texture that makes it into a cohesive unit. In the glass, you’ll discover a superbly balanced play between richness and freshness. The blended in Coteaux Champenois Rouge (still champagne) adds a bit of this wild fruit and earthy note, not unlike the garrigue of the south, and even more reminiscent of those tiny, wild sour cherries found in the countryside from Chablis to its northern neighbor, Champagne.
