Region: Douro, Portugal
Tasting: 90 pts Wine Enthusiast - Some red nuances in the golden colour, deep aroma of fruit conserve and nuts. Very balanced on the palate, delicate, fruity and spicy, peppery nuances in the fresh and persistent after taste.
About: C. da Silva, is a traditional Portshipper dating from 1862 with cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. The current name was defined in the first decades of the twentieth century, when Mr. Clemente da Silva received the company through marriage. The Port wines come from their own Quinta in the Douro (Quinta dos Avidagos). Renowned for the high quality Tawny (Aged and Colheita) and the very good price-quality ratio. Female winemaker Ana Doro Beiroco has been guarding the elegant house style for 25 years.
The Port wines of C. da Silva are the result of careful monitoring of quality during their aging process by the most respected winemakers in technologically advanced laboratories.
DALVA’s Port comes from traditional grape varieties of the demarcated region of the Douro, such as the Tinta Barroca, the Tinta Cão, the Touriga Nacional, the Tinta Roriz and the Touriga Francesa. The port is produced in the traditional way and is stored in oak barrels to mature. -Port Exclusive
