The Viallet family has been working in vineyards in Savoie since 1966, when Marcel and Yvonne purchased their first estate, Domaine Clos Réservé. After studying winemaking in Beaune, their second son Philippe joined the business in 1984. Noticing the strong commercial potential of the wines of Savoie, Philippe established "Maison Philippe Viallet" in 1985. Since then, Philippe has acquired several vineyards and now represents 118 hectares spread across various Savoie appellations. This wine comes from biodynamically farmed vineyards at a high altitude in the Savoie, just 10km from Chambèry.
Tasting Notes: A subtle bouquet of wild strawberries and raspberries is underlined by floral, spicy, and brioche notes. A generous balance leads to minty freshness, a smooth texture, and a salty, mineral finish. Enjoy this versatile warm weather sipper now to catch all that beautiful, crisp fruit.
Pairing: This is a great wine to bring along on your summer picnic! Try it with a Mediterranean couscous salad (think feta and cucumbers), tomato salad with goat cheese, or grilled chicken with lime.
