From: Pouilly Fuissé, Burgundy, France
Varietal: 100% Chardonnay
Tasting Notes: Delicate aromas of white Acacia flowers and citrus, evolving towards notes of hazelnut, almond, vanilla, or flint as the wine matures. This is fleshy and balanced, a joy to drink.
Located exclusively on the slopes, the vineyard delivers a unique vintage: Chardonnay, the noble variety of all the great white Burgundies. Extending as a belt across the southern edge of the Mâconnais, the soils offer a wide variety of substrates, mainly limestone, and many different exposures due to the extremely fragmented nature of the plots.
Les Terres Secretes
Situated at the southern edge of the Burgundy region, the delightful terroirs of 'Terres Secrètes' (secret lands) are spread over the rolling, sunny landscape of the Mâconnais region. These terroirs are located, selected, and defined in the form of specific parcels of land-some of which are tiny-where the typical features of the particular plot are concentrated.
The Terres Secrètes winegrowers have marked out these distinct enclosures, perfectly-identified plots like little gardens of Eden, selected for their remarkable exposure and the age of their vines.
Voted Cave de L'Année - Winery of the Year - by La Revue du Vin de France, France's premier wine publication.
