From: Mediterranean PGI, France
Varietal: Serine
Fresh black fruits, accompanied by baking spice, a little hint at potpourri (without being overpowering) and aromas of garrigue. The key word here is "fresh," and this wine doesn't disappoint. It's so charming that even any Pinot Noir lover will fall head-over-heels for the elegance of this Mediterranean red, especially when served with a slight chill.
There's some debate on the varietal, Serine. Some think the most likely scenario is that it encompasses a family of grape varietals (check out this link for more), while to others, it's a special clone of Syrah (click on this link for more). Either way, the wine is gorgeous and food-friendly, and you should definitely check it out!
