The Barbi family has a long tradition in producing fine wines, starting in 1932. The Podere Barbi estate was established at the beginning of the nineties, with the goal of producing high-quality wines based on indigenous varietals. Nowadays the Podere Barbi offers a line of boutique wines characterized by a distinguished personality which embodies their winemaking passion and our dedication to the roots of our land.
Tasting Notes: The elegant Qui Pro Quo hosts dark fruit aromas and a savoury, earthy complexity. Being soft and fleshy, the Qui Pro Quo is a smooth red for medium ageing produced from indigenous varietals. It is a perfect combination between the fullness and roundness of the Montepulciano and the elegant structure of the Sangiovese. It’s a fresh and fruity wine, very easy drinking characterized by a good structure, well balanced with a nice smoothness.
Pairing: Mmm, such a full, fruity, and savory wine calls for something that will match that intensity, like Pineapple and Molasses Spareribs by Nigella Lawson. These sticky, sweet spareribs will knock your socks off.
