From: Columbia Valley, Washington, USA
Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon-based red blend
Tasting Notes: Opaque, dark color hints at what’s in the glass: red and black cherries, blackberry bramble and dark chocolate intermix with baking spice and Eucalyptus. The palate is sexy, silky and full-bodied but also fresh and refined with plenty of dark fruit, mouthcoating, plush tannins and a lengthy finish that goes on and on.
Pairing: While this will pair effortlessly with just about any weeknight fare, we’re going to share a comfort-food recipe that can easily be vegetarian (see notes below), and even better - is in one pot! The recipe is for Melissa Clark’s One-Pot Turkey Chili and Biscuits.
About. The Bos is named after Peter Bos, a 40-year Washington wine veteran, most recently as an instructor at the Northwest Wine Academy. A master at managing misfit barrels and cantankerous lots, Peter taught a small army of winemakers the fine art of using blending to make a wine greater than the sum of its parts. For The Bos, the Betz Family takes their misfit barrels and uses them to make a wine emblematic of Washington, supremely drinkable and full of texture.
