From: Emilia-Romagna, Italy
Varietal: Sangiovese
Tasting Notes: Giovanna Madonia’s estate extends over 35 acres on the sunny ridge of the hill of Montemaggion, in Bertinoro, in the heart of the Romagna wine district; she is the third generation to produce wine on this property. Her Tenentino is 100% Sangiovrese, fermented and aged in stainless steel to highlight the freshness and velvety texture of the grape. Medium-bodied, with a nose of dark berries and earth, it shows pepper notes over dried berries on the palate with a hint of violets, finishing with herbs, fine tannins, and very bright acidity.
