From: Côte de Beaune, Burgundy, France
Varietal: Chardonnay
Tasting Notes: Mineral driven with notes of citrus zest, and ample richness, but unmistakably Burgundian. It truly lets the grapes shine, full, yet light, wonderfully balanced, and will leave you craving the next sip.
In 2017, the producers of the regional appellations "Bourgogne", located in the Côte de Beaune and Côtee de Nuits obtained the additional designation "Bourgogne Côte d'Or". This name is reserved for red and white still wines produced within the 40 villages in the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits.
Whole cluster pressing, followed by cold sedimentation. Fermentation and maturation in neutral French oak for 10 months.
Pairing: Perfect for an aperitif, appetizers, or a cheese course.
Nuiton Beaunois
It all began in 1957 in the small village of Orches, nestled beneath a limestone cliff in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune area. At the time, they were just a small group of ten or so winegrowers, who had no idea how big their venture would become. And yet these pioneers were already convinced that they would be stronger together. A few decades later, the Cave des Hautes-Côtes, the only cooperative wine cellar in the Côte d'Or region, is proud of its heritage and has expanded to include 80 members.
