From: Burgundy, France
Varietal: Pinot Noir
Almost-90 year old Michel Lafarge, still fully engaged in the viticulture and winemaking at the Domaine, works seamlessly alongside his son and daughter-in-law, Frederic and Chantal, and recently their daughter, Clothilde. Certified organic and biodynamic vineyards in the Côte de Beaune produced the Pinot Noir for this wine.
Tasting Notes: "The 2018 Côte de Beaune Village has a very perfumed floral bouquet, a mixture of blueberry and wild strawberry fruit and quite high-toned compared to Lafarge's other cuvées this vintage. The palate is endowed with surprising weight in the mouth and a gentle grip leading to a lightly spiced, quite peppery, and persistent finish. Very fine." –Vinous, 89-91 points
