Critical Acclaim:
91-93 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"The 2019 Santenay 1er Cru Clos des Gravières unwinds in the glass with notions of smoky pear, yellow orchard fruit and clear honey. Medium to full-bodied, rich and muscular, it's lively and incisive, with a rich, concentrated core of fruit. This will be terrific after another winter on the lees. (WK)" (1/2021)
89-92 points Allen Meadows - Burghound
"Here too the nose is firmly reduced and unreadable. More interesting are the intense and highly energetic medium weight flavors that offer a bit more depth on the persistent, bracingly dry and more firmly structured finale. This is potentially excellent for what it is if it can add depth with bottle aging." (6/2021)
89-91 points Vinous
"The 2019 Santenay Clos des Gravières Blanc 1er Cru has a crisp saline nose, plenty of sea spray and light tangy seaweed elements here. The palate is quite closed with grapefruit and melon notes on the entry. I felt this cuvée needed some racking, which Olivier Lamy was planning soon and then it will gain a little more weight and length. But all the elements are here. It opens with aeration.
