From: Costieres de Nimes, Rhone, France
Varietal: 70% Syrah, 30% Grenache
Chateau de Campuget in Costieres de Nimes is a beautiful domaine dating back to 1640. The property has belonged to the Dalle family since 1941. Although equipped with stainless-steel tanks and modern tools, wines are made and matured traditionally, and quality is strictly controlled from the vineyard to the bottle. Chateau De Campuget's main varieties are Syrah and Grenache Noir for the grapevines classified in AOC.
Tasting Notes: Tradition Red Blend is a garnet-red colored wine with a blue hue. Scents of ripe black currants and tart blueberries and blackberries are underlined by more savory hints of spice and pepper. The wine's round and harmonious feel in the mouth is leads to long, smooth tannins on the finish. We recommend letting the wine breathe for 15-30 minutes to allow the flavors in the wine reach their potential.
Pairing: This wine is perfect for roasted or grilled meats. It is especially recommended with a leg of lamb.
