From: Catalunya, Spain
Varietal: Garnatxa (Grenache)
The winery is committed to producing a young wine that seeks the verticality and purity of the variety. No makeup, no masks. Fruit in its fullest expression.
Mountain viticulture at an altitude between 700 and 800 meters at the foot of the Sierra de la Llena, a natural border with the region of El Priorat and the Sierra del Montsant, in an area of contrast between the Mediterranean and continental climate, of low pluviometry, with gentle winds that guarantee the vegetal health of the vineyards. Soils with good water retention with abundant gravels and with a loamy-clay texture are suitable for quality viticulture. The altitude of the vineyards and the cool nights of Les Garrigues increase the thickness of the skins, favoring the concentration of anthocyanins and tannins while accentuating the acidity and thus their freshness.
Tasting Notes: Aromas of red cherries, currants, blackberries, and deep spiced notes reminiscent of white pepper. Silky on the palate, this wine is fresh and very expressive.
Pairing: This wine pairs well with a wide variety of dishes including grilled fruit and vegetables, to grilled skewers, and even to duck confit, as its body and fruit are akin to a Beaujolais cru.
