From: Piedmont, Italy
Varietal: Nebbiolo
The Origin: It comes from the best grapes of Nebbiolo grown in the Langhe area, which gives us an elegant and fragrant Nebbiolo. The Aging: It ages in large oak barrels which enhances the elegance of Nebbiolo that after three years of aging it will become No Name. The Meaning: “I have chosen one of my best wines and I called it No Name as a quiet protest against the bureaucracy that afflicts Italian agriculture and the wine world.”
Tasting Notes: Garnet red in color. An ethereal and persistent wine with hints of violet, rose, fresh fruits and light spicy notes, and an elegant tannin. A super classic, restrained, and pretty example of Barolo.
91 Points -James Suckling
Pairing: A Nebbiolo with a great structure, this wine goes well with wild game, beef, and pork prepared in a wide range of styles: braises, stews, kebabs, skewers, and grilled methods are all fair game. It would also be delicious with aged cheeses.
