From: Ribera del Duero, Spain
Varietal: Tempranillo
BELA is a winery founded in the DO Ribera del Duero by the CVNE family from Rioja. The winery was built in 1999 and the first vineyard was planted in 2002.
Today BELA has 74 hectares of 100% Tempranillo vines surrounding the winery and producing wines of great depth, acidity, and freshness.
Tasting Notes: The 2017 BELA Ribera del Duero is a deep cherry red in color with purple hints at the rim. On the nose, aromatic complexity reveals floral notes and black fruits such as blackberries, blueberries, and plums. The fruit is complemented by elegant notes of sweet spices and gentle smokiness from time in the barrel. On the palate, this is a wine that shows great personality with smooth tannins, a fruit-driven mid-palate, and a mineral finish lending elegance and finesse.
